Story
Hi everyone,
Kickstart Kids is a charitable organisation working to kick start the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya.
Kickstart's goal is to achieve financial, environmental, and community sustainability so that Olturoto Childrens Village can kick start the lives of up to 30 children at any one time in the future.
Until the farm is generating enough funds to cover the costs of caring for the children, Kickstart needs our help! That's why we are participating in the Sydney City2Surf on August 14, 2016.
Our collective goal is to raise $10,000 to support Kickstart's amazing work with these children.
There are 3 ways you can help us out:
1. Join Our Running Team and then encourage all your friends, family and colleagues to join us.
· Once you have signed up, email Clare (clare.cole@kickstartkidsinternational.com) who will create your own linked fundraising page.
· If you do not wish to have your own page, simply send the link out to this page to encourage people to donate and support you.
2. Join Our Support Team by:
· Getting behind someone you know running and encouraging people to donate to their individual fundraising page OR this page.
· Donating your time in some other way (email Nick on nickodowell@hotmail.com)
· Creating your own linked fundraising page, email Clare (clare.cole@kickstartkidsinternational.com)
3. 'Donate Now' to make a secure online donation and then encourage all your friends and family to do the same.

Kickstart Kids International is an Australian charitable organisation working to kickstart the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya through locally-led sustainable development.
Kickstart was founded in 2007 to support the establishment of Familia Moja Children’s Home in Kenya, which is now home to over 30 children.In 2011. A local Kenyan Non Government Organisation was formed to cover the financial contribution previously provided by Kickstart and has subsequently increased the number of children being cared for. This was a huge achievement towards kickstarting the lives of these beautiful children.
Kickstart’s success with Familia Moja is now being leveraged through a second Kenyan children’s centre, Olturoto Children’s Village (www.olturotochildrensvillage.org). This initiative is striving to achieve further local empowerment through financial and environmental sustainability. Olturoto Children's Village rescues, empowers and reintegrates (RER) orphaned and vulnerable children in Kajiado County, Kenya.
