BDJ is Running the City2Surf
Story
Hi everyone,
BDJ Partners is taking on the City2Surf!
Two of our amazing accountants, Amy Saltoon, and Alex Schebesta (Perry) are taking on the 14km course this year!!
And we're doing it to raise much needed funds to help Kickstart Kids International to open three more homes at Olturoto Children's Village.
BDJ been associated with Kickstart since its inception, as an all round support and later as a professional adviser. Kickstart Kids is a charitable organisation working to kickstart the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya. Kickstart's goal is to achieve financial, environmental, and community sustainability so that Olturoto Childrens Village can kickstart the lives of up to 30 children at any one time in the future. Kickstart Kids has already welcomed 8 children to Olturoto Childrens Village and three new houses are under construction which will mean bringing 22 more kids into the programme.
Until the farm is generating enough funds to cover the costs of caring for the children, Kickstart needs our help! So please help by sponsoring us to complete the 14km City2Surf on Sunday 14th August.

Kickstart Kids International is an Australian charitable organisation working to kickstart the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya through locally-led sustainable development.
Kickstart was founded in 2007 to support the establishment of Familia Moja Children’s Home in Kenya, which is now home to over 30 children.In 2011. A local Kenyan Non Government Organisation was formed to cover the financial contribution previously provided by Kickstart and has subsequently increased the number of children being cared for. This was a huge achievement towards kickstarting the lives of these beautiful children.
Kickstart’s success with Familia Moja is now being leveraged through a second Kenyan children’s centre, Olturoto Children’s Village (www.olturotochildrensvillage.org). This initiative is striving to achieve further local empowerment through financial and environmental sustainability. Olturoto Children's Village rescues, empowers and reintegrates (RER) orphaned and vulnerable children in Kajiado County, Kenya.
